Back, baby !!!!!

Its been one week since I have stopped blogging...Kinda lost the mood....But,well, I'm still blogging to elevate both stress and boredom...XDXD
Anyway, just for updates, I managed to get into the Prefectorial Board...XDXD Got back my old comm as well...Cool!! Its cool to meet my old friends and juniors( whoops, maybe I should call them my seniors now XD) in the board....Anyway, my senior is Chee Hoe...He is a good guy and he really refreshed me a lot on what to do in the board coz I was kinda blur when I started...
Anyway, besides that, work is beginning to pile up....To others, it may be hard to believe 5 subjects can do this much, but believe me, I'm working up more sweat now X(...However, I can still cope and I thank God for that...XD...Besides that, I managed to get into the coco units I wanted...=)
Anyway ( gotta stop using this word), today, I had an outing with my friends. Some of them will be heading back overseas..T.T...Anyway, had an awesome time with them. Special thanks to Sam for that spicy surprise ( will blog about that later. I'm still feeling the burn...haha)..Anyway, before I forget

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, FREDDIE!!!

Well, that's all for now...Cheers and I hope that I can bring in more pictures into this blog....XDXD

SinMal

To me, camps are a usual thing to me now....So, I joined the Sinmal camp 2011 at Port Dickson during the past four days even though I was a bit hesitant about participating in it at first.
Since the bus to Sinmal was to set off at 4.00am, me and my friends decided to sleep in HQ during the previous night. We arrived at SJK(C), Chung Hua at 8.30am before registering. We were all excited as this was a chance to meet up with people from other states as well as members from Singapore.
However, as soon as it started, I realized I was in deep trouble...>.<
Firstly, the medium language of the camp was mandarin.....THE HECK??!?!?! At first, I thought it was gonna be English. So, it kinda sucked as I could barely understand what the facilitators were talking about...Luckily, my team mates were kind enough to translate for me when I was totally clueless.....
Wait, it gets even better.....meals on the first day were kinda lame.....For dinner on the first day, I was given a plate of white rice with a bit of spinach and one ( yes, don't be shocked by that) wanton....DO YOU KNOW HOW FREAKIN SMALL THAT PATHETIC WANTON IS?!?!?!??!?!? Heck, it was even smaller than my eyeball..=.=' Its as though food was in short supply...BUT NO!!!!, when I left, there was still a huge amount of wanton left..... However, meals got better each and every day...So, no complaining there....
Besides that, the first day didn't leave a good impression for me.....After the opening ceremony, we were given a lecture regarding finance management... =.=''' Wow, didn't know that could happen in a fun camp....Next, it was in ( you guessed it), mandarin...So, I was kinda fishing the whole way.....
Then, we were introduced to a kinda fun ( but it was a bit lame) session, in which we mimicked a group of dancers on stage who were dancing to a few songs...At first, it was ok....until they repeated the session for another three times. This reeally got on my nerves as it was both physically and mentally torturing. During campfire, they played the same set of songs for the whole two hours of campfire.....=.='''...It was fun at first, but it get boring and mind wreaking very quickly...Imagine listening to Gee by SNSD for 10 FREAKIN times during ONE DAY ONLY!!!!!
There were also a bit of issues with the management....However, lets not look at the negative aspect of the camp.....It WAS FUN in many other ways...
First of all, I manage to meet new friends during this camp....Some of them are from Singapore....So, I managed to learn a bit more about Singapore through them..Station games were fun and educational. ( managed to learn how to make 'roti lilin'). Beach games were the same as well..... I also managed to gain experience and information on turtles....I also had the chance of digging a hole and burying the eggs just like how a turtle does it...Besides that, I managed to hold a real turtle...XD
However, nothing beats the fact that I managed to play paintball for the first time..XDXDXD Even though we lost ( due to our team being disqualified), I was still happy that I managed to hit somebody with the marker ( Headshot..XDD) However, it was kinda sad that a few of my friends couldn't enjoy it due to malfunctioned markers.
Overall, this year's Sinmal camp was a bittersweet experience...For Rm130, I'm not quite sure whether it's worth it but it was indeed an enjoyable experience...=)

OVERLOAD!!!

Boy, what a week it was.. I thought it was gonna be smooth sailing but well, it seems its the monsoon season now...
Last week, Form.6 started...Okok, orientation was just like how anyone would expect it. At least there were games and ice breakers to lighten up the mood. So, anyway, I've chosen physics and I'm now in LSS1.. That was on Thursday and that was the last day of my peaceful times of holidays..:(
Already, I have two assignments and a lot of things to handle.. As stressed out as I am ( count the pimples, man), I'm actually getting used to it. Okok, I'm missing my holidays but I rather be busy and to overload my brain than letting it rot like mad. So, I 'm wecoming form.6, baby XDXDXD
On the bright side, I was like lmao when I watched the parody of Friday by JJ and Ean...Gotta love them..XD It's called Monday and it very funny and good....haha
Back to the topic, I might not be able to blog for the next couple of days ( or weeks, maybe months..) but let's see first...
                  Cheers...

A new beginning

Well, after 5 months, my holidays are at an end.( Once again; NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!) At the beginning, I was wondering on how to make use of my holidays. In the middle, I was bored. Now, in the end, I missed them.
However, I have no regrets and I'm ready to move forward towards the next chapter in my life. Anyway, I have done a lot and obtained a lot of skills and knowledge during these blissfully long months, especially house chores and cooking. I didn't know I could have so much fun during this time. The many outings that I had with my friends were epic and fun...It was also fun to help and spectate in the Area and State comp...Nice to see things from another perspective  But, alas, good things must come to an end. Starting next week, I will be going to school for Form.6. I'm not sure whether I'll be staying or going. However, I ain't burning my bridges. XP.....Oh well, I will miss the long holidays but gotta face facts ; rotting is worse than studying....Anyway, I'm still gonna put my faith in God and see where He will guide me in life...=)

Cheers for now....

Easter Celebration

Ok.... This happened exactly a week ago.. However, I'm still gonna blog about it coz it was awesome!!! This year, my church's Easter celebration theme was There is Hope in Christ Jesus!!!
When I arrived at church, I met up with Soon Keat and the others. Then, when we waited for a while at the hall until the games were started by Doreen. We were divided into groups and were tasked on putting together pieces of a puzzle. Since I was in the largest group, we got the largest puzzle... In the end, the puzzle were three crosses and the verse of John 3:16.
Then, it was worship time. After singing and praising was the sketch and dance. Both were awesome and meaningful as there was a message behind both the sketch and dance.
Then, it was the speaker's time. This year, Pastor Elijah from FGA gave his Sermon for the Easter Celebration. His message was also great as he talked about true love, shown by our Heavenly Father to us.
After that, a few of us came to the front to be prayed. During this time, I was reminded on how much God loves us and knows about us. Even as two of my church members laid their hands on me, I was really amazed that both of them knew what problems I was facing even though I just told them I had confusion in my heart. Praise be to God that He knows everything about me and that He is always with us . Thanks, Wai Kit and William Chin for praying for me =)
The entire event ended with refreshments. However, I left early as I was tired from helping out in State Comp and I had another day to go.
Overall, this year's Easter celebration was a success. I really thank God for allowing me to celebrate this year's Easter and to be reminded once again of His unfailing love towards us...=)
The speaker, Pastor Elijah... ( My bad for the picture quality coz I was at the back XD)

Déjà vu

Yeah, it was indeed deja vu when I became a helper once again for the 55th Annual State First Aid and Nursing Competition that was held last weekend. However, besides Don, Cham and Eric also took part as helpers in this year's comp..
Technically, we were supposed to be under the administration section led by Mr. Kevin Peter. Unofficially, we were also there to 'fill in the blanks', meaning, we're replacements for any missing officers...XD. Anyway, this was what we did during that weekend..

Day 1:
-Registered both st. john junior & state comp competitors
-Checked their kits
-Bought lunch for officers ( me & Eric only XD). Epic thing was that lunch was paid by state hq...XDXD. -Treated my buddies and my boss to 100 plus as well
-Arranged the stretcher drill course
-Timekeeper for stretcher drill ( Don and Eric were the 'lucky ones' XDXD)
-Treated the mock casualties of the stretcher drill ( guys from St. John Junior) ice cream... ( money was given by Mr. Wong Seng Kim)
-Stored all the items used during stretcher drill

Day 2....It gets better:
-Arranged and cleaned tables to be used for cases
-Preparing the items needed for home nursing ( Don)
-Shifted the challenge trophies from the office to the hall ( Me and Eric)
-Brought other first aid items from the training room ( Me..)
-Coordinators for the cases ( I was the coordinator for the nursing cadet short case...XDXD)
-Timekeeper for the cases ( And the lucky one(s) is..(*drum roll*)..CHAM & ERIC!!! XDXD He was timekeeper for Ambulance Adult short case while Eric got Ambulance Cadet Short case)
-Helper for Home Nursing category ( Yoong Xiang and Lippy..lol, Yoong Xiang was called at first to help. Lippy was just an innocent spectator..haha)
-Arranged the trophies ( Don.. Wow, took him 3-4 hours just for this job)
-Arranged the chairs for closing ceremony ( me and Cham)
-Kept all the items back into the storeroom ( me and Cham) ...Epic win, Cham asked me whether I wanted to play stretcher drill.. Turned out that it was just keeping the heavy stretchers back into the storeroom...=.='
-Presented the trophies to Mr.Manin Singh to be passed to the guest of honour and then to the winners.. ( me and Don) Freakin tired because the tray was heavy( not really) with certs and trophies with it and I was exhausted to boot

Yes, it was indeed a tiring weekend. However, it was self satisfying in itself. Anyway, this year's comp was kinda interesting as there were new schools and old schools which skipped last year's comp... Anyway here are the winners

Overall Champions
St. John Juniors Cadets: Yu Ying
St. John Junior Nurses: Ave Maria Convent
Ambulance Adult: San Min, Teluk Intan
Ambulance Cadet: Poi Lam
Nursing Adult: Ave Maria Convent
Nursing Cadet: Ave Maria Convent

Yes... as you can see, AMC dominated the entire competition by bring back the overall champion's challenge trophy for both nursing categories as well as St. John Junior...O.O
Anyway, it was an interesting event and I had gained many good experiences form it. Congrats to all the winners and to those who didn't get it, there's always next year...Cheer up

Ps; Just for your information, I was busy throughout the competition and I didn't get to spectate the teams' performances in each category. So, please don't blame me if the information above is unsatisfactory to you. I'm just blogging about what I've experienced as a helper in this comp... :P

Interroga....Whoops...interview

Today was the day!! JPA scholarships interview..After finding out that I wasn't shortlisted at all for the other scholarships I applied for... the stakes just got higher T.T
Anyway, it was a fun and interesting experience and it has really taught me a lot.
I arrived at Velodrome at 2.00pm.. Kinda early as my interview was at 2.55pm...hehe Anyway,I checked my name and found out I was in Panel 4. So, I signed my name before sitting down.Throughout that time, I met a few church friends as well as Tan Wing and Tham Kuen Wei. Then, I realized the guy behind me was also in the same panel as me. So, we chatted while killing time. Before that, there was a kind lady who offered me a lot of tips regarding the interview. She also advised me a bit. =). Thank you!!. Around me, I saw a lot of people ( didn't expect this many people to show up O.O) Most of the guys were wearing slacks, long sleeve t-shirt and tie. As for the girls, some wore Baju Kurung while other wore long sleeve or short sleeve shirts with black skirts. Some even brought a coat along..O.o
At 2.50pm, my name was called along with the other guys and gals in my panel. At that time, I saw there were only 4 people in my panel, including me..After sending my folder and photostat copies, I thought we had to wait longer but BOOOM!!! It was our turn. WHAT!!? SO FAST!?!?!?!? I guessed all of us panicked. We were then ushered to the front of our room. There, the clerk gave us a few helpful pointers before we were ushered into the room.
It was a small room. In front of us were three guys. After wishing them good evening, they allowed us to take our seats. I was no.3. So, I took my seat in the third seat in that row. The first was a girl from AMC, the 2nd was a guy from Kelantan who is currently studying in UTP, I was 3rd and the 4th was another guy from SMK San Min. It seemed that the girl was taking accounts and the 2nd guy was taking diploma in engineering in Korea. The 4th and I were taking Engineering in Germany. It was a good thing I managed to chat with the 2nd and 4th beforehand...XD
Anyway, going back to the main topic, one of the interviewers first confirmed the courses we were applying for. Then, he asked us the reason for doing so in BM. Wow, when the 1st spoke, she was seriously fluent. O.O... The 2nd also spoke fluently. In my opinion, I spoke normally even though I kinda stalled for a little while at the end. The 4th also spoke fluently even though he also stalled for quite a while. Then, it was question time.

The second question was in BM:
Bagaimanakah negara kita dapat menarik pelaburan asing di negara kita?
Ok....Anyway, we were given two minutes of discussion. When we discussed, we were kinda relaxed as we heard each others opinion. Anyway, we then had to give our answers to the interviewer. The best part about this was that we spoke in order to our number. We didn't argue or anything. Everything was seriously systematic.  I was the third to give my opinion. Once that was done,

The third question was then voiced out. This time, it was in English
As ambassadors of our country, how should you act when you further your studies overseas?
Again, two minutes to discuss and again, we gave our opinions in order.

Then, the last question came:
In Bm or in English, tell us more about yourself and why you think you deserve this scholarship?
For this, question, I kinda crapped as much as I can. I mentioned about my time in St. John Ambulance Malaysia as well as my time as a prefect. Then, I gave a long story saying I am good in my studies and I can learn and bring back the knowledge I have gained back to my country and I can also help my country in solving problems such as Global Warming ( a little bit extravagent but I didn't care).

After that, the end. After thanking the interviewers, we shook their hands before exiting the room. After that, we were super relieved. We even talked to each other about how tensed we were. Even No.1 ( girl from AMC) also said that she was so nervous, she couldn't speak much , which I beg to differ. After collecting our folders again, I waited for my evac. During that time, I met Justin and Noel.
Overall, it was a great experience and I really learnt how to act under stress. Thank God for helping me during that time and granting me wisdom and courage. I felt that I did well considering that everything was super spontaneous. Anyway, I still hoping for the best and expecting the worst

Anyway, here are the tips which I heard and found out during this experience:
Attire is formal: Slacks ( black or brown) with a long sleeve shirt. A tie is a must as well as leather shoes.
Girls can wear baju kurung or long sleeve/short sleeve shirt with skirt. A coat is not really necessary ( coz not many people were wearing it)

Prepare all your documents stated according to the order beforehand . Preparing it a day or two before the interview will save you all the stress.

Interact with the buddies in your panel. Get to know them a bit before your interview starts won't hurt and it will feel less awkward when you discuss among each other during the interview.

Pray. ( I'm not joking) Pray to God for His guidance.

During the interview: ( tips I found out from other sources)
Chill, relax and don't panic.
Try to speak fluently and calmly.
Don't speak too loud or too soft.
Mind your action and sitting position as the interviewer have their eyes trained on you most of the time.
Don't forget common courtesy ( wishing and thanking them before and after the interview respectively).
Cooperate with your buddies
and don't dominate the interview even if the others are not that good.

Well, if you're gonna take your interview any time after this, I wish you all the best and let God take care of the rest.

The End!!!

Yes ( no, wait.. NOOOO!!!).... Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's has ended exactly one week ago. Before I continue with this post, I admit that I'm a fan of Yu-Gi-Oh! XDXD
Yu-Gi-Oh 5D's !!!!!
It was the year 2008 when I first heard about it. Fresh after finishing Yu-Gi-Oh! GX, I saw the preview of 5D's.....and was speechless. I was like, CARD GAMES ON MOTORBIKES!!!!?!?! At that time, I was like I duwanna watch lor like that. However, curiosity got the better of me and I watched the first few episodes. Then, I thought
Hmmm, it's not a bad idea after all. =D
To me, what was cool about it was the story. It was good as it targeted a more mature audience. Not to mention that most of the cast are more mature. The cards used might be a little overpowered but the idea of synchros is a good idea and it really brought a fresh breath into the Yu-Gi-Oh series. Interaction between characters are deeper and better in this series than in the previous franchises. Storyline was better as well.
Although some of the filler episodes and some of the characters are not that interesting, the idea of card games on motorcycles is still a bit hard to accept, the characters' script is not that great, some of the main characters don't get much of the limelight ( eg: Ruka, Rua, Aki etc), and some of the cards in the last season can pwn Obelisk like mad (eg: Grannel, Asterisks, Halberd Cannon, Temporal Machines, etc) it's still a nice series to watch. Now, Yu-Gi-Oh ! Zexal will air in another week and I not quite sure whether I'll be interested in it as the franchise has gone back to kids and not teens. However, that's just my opinion and I would also give Zexal a try..XD Overall, it was one heck of a ride and 5D's has been a cool show.

( Ps: Please note that I do not own this series and everything listed in this post is just my opinion. If you think otherwise and that what I'm saying here is pure nonsense, please refrain from posting it here coz you're going to piss off more fans that way.)

1/3 FLOW!!!

1/3 Junjou na Kanjou, by Siam Shade... It's a cool song. Then, a few weeks ago, I realized that Flow ( one of my fav j-pop bands) revisited this cool song and made a cover song out of it...Tadaa
When I first heard it, I was like....COOL!!!!... Then, I was thinking, 'can they perform it as good as Siam Shade' ... Then, when I listened to it on youtube...
I was blowned by it. Clearly, it was totally way different from Siam Shade ( DUH!!!!!!), but they managed to perform it perfectly.. Heck, it brought back nostalgia on when I listened to it half a decade ago.. ( yeah, I'm a fan of Samurai X)...
Kudos to Flow for making an old song new again.....

Here are the links if you want to listen to this cool song:

Cross roads...

Ok... SPM is now a previous chapter in my life.. Now, I have reached one of the biggest crossroads in my life...
When I ponder about it, I realized that I have taken my school life for granted. During those times, I could have fun with my friends and study without having to worry about the big picture. Now, I'm at the end of the tunnel and I have to choose which lane to go from now.
Right after getting my results, I'm now in a dilemma of choosing between scholarships, UTP and Form.6. Clearly, college is totally out of the question ( How am I gonna pay up their &$#$% fees?? I ain't rich, man).. Form.6 is a good choice but I'm just tired of the freakin' rumours being spread around about it... There is no guarantee for scholarships but I'm hoping for the best and expecting the worst..
Clearly, everything has its ups and downs. Right now, I can just put my whole faith in God and have faith that He will guide me along the path that He has designed for me. =) So, I'll just put my best foot forward without any fear or anxiety.

D-DAY!!!!

Well, that day finally came...after 3 months, its time to close the curtains on SPM!!!!!
I arrived at school at around 10.00am.. Along the way, there was a radio ad congratulating everyone on their success in SPM...=.='... WE HAVEN'T EVEN RECEIVED THE RESULTS YET!!! =.='..They're really smart to do so .. Anyway, when I arrived at SMI, the results were still not out yet ( even though the newspapers said 10.00am).. Well, I killed time by chatting and meeting up with long lost friends ( is that term even appropriate considering I haven't met them for only 3 MONTHS!?!)
After 1 long agonizing hour that was full of TENSION.... the results were out... I was the 5th in line... Around me, I saw friends who shouted for joy while others had that look of disappointment on their face...
Then, my turn came.... there was a new teacher giving out our certs since our class teacher transferred to a government school this year. This was it. The moment when I would find out whether I made it or broke it..Then, he passed me my slip...
And I was stunned... I did it. I managed to get straight A's... What's more, I managed to achieve A+ for my BM... I was astonished. BM was my worst subject and I managed to get A+...O.O...Anyway, even though I got A for my bio and moral, I was happy and satisfied with my results and I thank God for seeing me through my SPM examinations.. However, even though I am satisfied with my results, I'm not gonna let it go to my head. It's just a step in life and I will be encountering many other examinations in life. So, gotta try harder in my future undertakings...
To the rest of my friends, congratulations on your results. To those who did not get what they wanted, this is just one step in life. So, don't give up and do your best in your future undertakings...=)

Outing before D-Day

Wow, the day before our SPM results was a great day. Thanks to my friends, we had a blast
The outing started at 2.30pm, I met Kah Chun first. Then, Lippy, Li Fatt and Por Yin joined up with us. Then, it was cc time.... While playing one round of DOTA, Jia Kai came... Then, we had a blast playing COD 4 multiplayer... I really loved the game mechanisms. However, it was a shame we got pawned by the cashier and the other pros in the cafe...=.='
Once our time was up, we went to the food court to ' yam cha', before walking around Jusco. At 7, we then had dinner at Michaelangelo. Thanks to Jia Kai and his Kancil, we didn't need to waste time walking there. Dinner was great and we decided to take a few shots there for memory sake....
Later on, Lippy and Jia Kai had to leave. So, me, Li Fatt, Kah Chun and Por Yin decided to spend the rest of the time chatting at Jusco. We then left at 9.30pm.
Overall, it was a fun time and I would never forget this day. Moreover, I am now a fan of COD 4 multiplayer ..XD...
I was like, why does he need eat while posing??

SERIOUSLY NO COMMENTS!

Randoms

Throughout the long holidays, my brain would have rotted if I hadn't done this. However, this work was also enough to throw my brain into pure confusion...XD

Please be noted that this took a long time to finish and this is just one page !!

On the bright side, this was what I saw when I went back to school
To those who still don't get it, Godzilla (the mini version) has invaded SMI

On that day, I managed to download a photo editing program from the android market. This was the masterpiece that I created after fiddling with the program

Lol ! It might be a bit lame but it's kinda creative

Oh well, holidays have started and my friends have just returned from national service. So, happy holidays and to my friends who have just returned, Welcome Back !!! .Hope you enjoy the holidays for now XD

Area Competition 2011 : Part 2 - The End

Today was the 2nd and last day of the 7th Annual Area First Aid and Nursing Competition. Today was the day when some teams went home victorious. Others went home with heavy hearts while a few ( like me XD), went home with mixed feelings.
As usual, I arrived at hq early in the morning. This time, it was 7.30am by the time I arrived. Then, I made my way to the nearest mamak as Don and Wai Hoong were there. While they were eating, Yoong Xiang and his dad joined us. They were then kind enough to sent us back to hq. [ Ed: Thanks, sir and thanks Yoong Xiang =)]
The competition kicked back into action at 8.00am. While the members were starting to get cozy with the quarantine room, we started the day by preparing the front of hq for the stretcher drill category. We the had to escort the teams to the respective locations.
Today, there was a lot more work to do. I helped out by guiding the nursing teams to the treatment room for the home nursing category. Everything went well even though there was a slight miscommunication between me and two officers.
Jonathan, Wilson, Chung Wai and Yu Xuan were there to spectate. In the end, all the teams were ready by 11.30am. While they were being ushered into the hall, we had to pack things up.
The closing ceremony began at 11.45am. However, before it began, we were already gone XD. We went to YMCA for lunch before we ( except for Don), returned to hq. Luckily we were in time to discover that Yuk Choy and Poi Lam won overall champion for adult and cadet category respectively. Meanwhile, Ave Maria nailed it once again by dominating the entire nursing category. During this time, I felt a tinge of sadness as the trophy that we have won last year was passed to the adult team from Yuk Choy Noooo!!!!!:-( Oh well, we'll get it back next year XD.
Overall, this years competition was an eventful one. It was fun participating in it from a different angle and even though the number of teams that participated in it was less than last year and the hall was too quiet when the cases were going on ( of course la, no SMI wor XDXD), I still felt the competitive atmosphere and am happy to have helped out in this year's competition.
Thank God that the competition went well without a hitch and congratulations to the winners for a job well done. Good luck to all the teams that will be advancing to the state level.

Area Competition 2011 : Part 1

For three years, I have been a participant in this competition. Thanks to my team and my trainers, we were able to gain many awards and experiences during these past three years. This year, I have decided to take part in the competition as a steward.
I reached St. John Ambulance headquarters at 8.00am. Donivald, Wai Hoong and Boon Kong were already there. Since Boon Kong was involved in the administration section, he was already at it as he was helping the competitors to register for the competition. Cham wasn't there as he had fever (Ed:  Happy birthday, Wen Wen and get well soon =)). I hope he gets well soon. Meanwhile, we, Don and Wai Hoong were still waiting for the competition to start as our duties as stewards only began at that time. This year, I was surprised to discover that there are only 5 ambulance teams taking part in this competition... Yeah, it was a big shock. There were only two teams in Adult and three teams in Cadet...
Later on, Justin, Wison, Chung Wai and two senior members came to hq to return the trophies that we have collected last year back to be won again by other teams. They were also there as spectators for the competition.
Anyway, the competition kicked into action at 9.00am when the competitors started to prepare themselves for the uniform checking and marching category. This was a big change as this event usually took place in the afternoon. At 10.00am, the marching category started. That was when our job started too. It was not really much. We just had to organize the competitors after they have completed their uniform checking and usher them to the marching ground when their turn comes. After informing the timekeeper of the team's code and waiting for them to finish, we then had to usher them to a counter so that a check can be commenced on their first aid kits.
After all that was said and done, me, Don and Wai Hoong were tasked to clean up the treatment room as it was the venue for the home nursing category for the nursing teams. There was a quite a lot of humour going on when we were given a mini vacuum cleaner to clean the moderately-sized room...lol.. But it was better than using brooms and dustpans.. However, we had to use them eventually when the vacuum cleaner overheated...=.=... Anyway, during that time, the highest individual category was going on and the competitors were in the hall..
The competition was then adjourned at 12.45pm.... To me, this year's competition is great. The adult and cadet members' performance was great. I am looking forward to see their performance in the stretcher drill and first aid categories tomorrow....

Ps: Sincere apologies for not posting any photos of the first day..

Updates

Recently, there has been many disasters going on in this world.... Earthquakes in Christchurch, Chile, China and now, Japan... There has also been a volcanic eruption in Hawaii.
The situation may look grim but we should always hope for the best and pray to God for the people and that these countries and may they be able to restore the homes and cities...We must have faith and believe that it will be done....
Anyway, tomorrow's the area competition...This year, SMI will be absent from the competitors list... Anyway, it's still something I'm not gonna miss... So, I'll be there tomorrow as a helper...XD....
Besides that, life has been going on as normal.. SPM results will be out in another fortnight.... Anyway, I'm hoping for the best.. and expecting the worst...
That's all the updates for now...Cheers..

Voices from space

Was bored yesterday night. So, I was just browsing through a list of animes until I saw this movie;
Voice of a distant star

Yeah, this short movie is cool coz it's a love story in science fiction...XD..
Anyway, this story is about two childhood friends. One of them gets sent to space in an expedition to search for Tarsians ( the aliens in this story) while the other remains behind. In space, Mikako ( said childhood friend), pilots a Tracer ( basically a Gundam rip-off) while her friend, Noburo continues on with his life. The best part of this story is how they communicate to each other. Mind you, this story is set in the future. So, you might expect state-of-the-art communicating device, right?
Well, nope. They communicate through SMS...
Yeah, it sounds weird.....( Later on, we might expect Maxis to build their comm towers on the moon..haha)...But the idea is touching...coz as Mikako gets further from Earth, the time the mail is sent lengthens.( Is there even signal in space??!).  Heck, by the time she reaches another galaxy, her mail took 8 YEARS to be sent to him..(EPIC!!!!).. And the best part is, that guy is freakin' patient..... The message is practically like a time capsule...XD....When she sent that message, she was 15...He received it....when he was 24!!!! WOW!!
Anyway, besides that, I was amazed at the story and the graphics. The graphics are awesome, especially the lighting..the director, Makoto Shinkai is truly a genius.. The characters too are awesome and the story is seriously cool and touching....
Overall, if you're bored on the comp or you're looking for new anime to watch, I would recommend this...coz it's awesome..XD

The Breakdown

WTF!!! Nearly had a heart attack yesterday. Before any of you start calling me and asking me whether I'm alright, I meant that figuratively...XD
At 4.00pm, I plugged my phone into my comp. Then, I removed it as the comp was a bit cluttered up. Then, I reconnected it......and THE HECK!!! The phone totally lagged...It didn't respond to any touch and I couldn't even turn the sleep mode off..It was practically in a coma. Four times I had to remove the battery and it stalled again for four more times
Luckily, the prob was isolated after half-an-hour of tinkering . Haiz....it was my live The Matrix wallpaper which I installed that lagged up everything.....=.='... At 5.30pm, my phone finally worked normally....YES!!!
That wasn't the only breakdown I experienced.... I also had music homework this week. Seriously, the ANZCA exam paper is HARD. Music rudiments and general knowledge were ok... When it comes to composition, it's really a frustrating moment. Imagine spending 15 minutes composing a melody containing 4 voices ( if you think I'm talking german here, please wiki it) only to have to rewrite the whole freakin' thing after finding out you're stuck and you're starting to break the harmony rule....x.x
I seriously hope I can buck up coz my test's in May..X.X....GG..
On the bright side, it's better than rotting at home....

The Return

Yesterday, I took a trip to school to get my certificates authenticated. Visiting my alma mater was a blast as I met many familiar faces. After meeting some of my friends and sending my certs, I thought of paying a visit to the counseling teacher. I also met some teachers. However, a few of them thought I was already studying in university..=.=' Does my height really affect their assumptions ( & memory)  that much??
Along the way, I noticed this
If you can't see the sign, it says ' Pelajar Dilarang
Mengunakan koridor ini sebagai laluan'

=.=...At first, I was thinking, then, why is this corridor built for?! But then, it's ok to me coz the school told us this last time and it's not really a big surprise. That was on the 2nd floor. This is what I found on the 3rd floor.

Access to the counseling room has been DENIED!!

This really sucked.  I know that they're doing this to protect the chapel from being vandalized, but I'm not sure whether going through the classes would be a wise idea just to meet him. How is anyone going to see the counseling teachers?!... Oh well, I'm not complaining if they did this just to protect the chapel when I think about some students with itchy hands. Heck, on the way here, I even saw a group of students practicing karate with a poor piece of wood obtained from the table. =.='
However, on the plus side, I met the counseling teacher in the office later on. So, it wasn't a big deal at all.
Anyway, despite all the changes that has happened both to the system and the infrastructure of the school, I was swept away in a wave of nostalgia when I walked through the school. The smell of the grass and the walls of the school reminded me of the many happy memories that I had experienced in this school. Seriously, I will really miss this moments that I had spent with my friends. I love being a michaellian...
        Yeah!!! Green and white UNITE!!!!

Another ONE??! Nice!!

The year was 2006. I was browsing a game magazine containing a special article about final fantasy XII. On the next page was a sneak peak about Final Fantasy XIII (Lol, don't they get tired of this.. At any rate, Final Fantasy 100 will be out in the distant future XD) . At that time, the game looked cool with all the graphics and action. However, I paid little attention to it for one obvious fact....I don't have a PS3.)-:
The year was 2009, again Final Fantasy XIII has entered my news stream. This time it brought along some new friends; Final Fantasy Versus XIII and Final Fantasy Agito XIII. ( =.=' as though Final Fantasy XIII wasn't enough). Even though I was fascinated by both these games by their cool actions, again, wasn't interested with reasons stated above.
The year was 2010, at last, FFXIII was released. Many people praised it for it's stunning graphics and cool battle system. Others condemned it for its linear gameplay and less-than-stellar voice acting. GameAxis Malaysia gave it a 7.5/10.0. X-play gave it a 4/5. After watching the review and the gameplay, I was quite impressed by it and I wanted to play it. But, alas. No PS3. ( This is getting old)
Now, a month ago. Intel flowed into my ears. When I heard it, I was astonished. My jaws dropped. Why? Coz there's another one.
Yes people. To those still living under a rock, this is what I'm talking about
Lol. Don't they get tired of the number XIII?

Yes, from the news, it seems that the colourful cast of characters in the previous installment has prompted this to be created. The teaser's cool and it reminds me of Final Fantasy X-2. Now folks, don't get me wrong...I like Final Fantasy. Heck... the only thing that amazed me during my childhood was this series. I even like the concept that they're going. But, I'm just a little bugged at the fact that there are now 4 games in one series. It's unheard of. Besides, FF versus and Agito XIII aren't even out yet. But, I ain't complaining.
In this sequel, Lightning's ( the main protagonist) back. So, I'm kinda waiting for more screenshots and teasers of Final Fantasy XIII-2 to come out...XD

Breakfast phail

What a day it was yesterday...I planned to make french toast for breakfast but instead I went for pancake first. Everything went fine until I tried to flip the pancakes....and it was stuck... THE HECK?!?! Instead of flipping it, I was just scraping it from the pan...And it was NON-STICK some more...=.=.. In the end, instead of pancake, I had pan chowder on my plate...
So, Plan A failed miserably. Then, it was back to french toasts.... Unlike the pancrap pancake, this worked out well...
However, it was expected coz it was the first time I tried to make pancakes. It would have taken a miracle for me to get it right on the first try.. Anyway, in the end, I still had my breakfast. XD

Bored!!

Before SPM, we all long for this moment...
During SPM, we long for it even more...
Now after SPM, I only have these words to say.....
I'm BORED!!!!!!!
Boredom has infected my very mind.. It's like a freakin' disease. It's so bad that I'm willing to get screwed by teachers and seniors and to do homework again ( Sounds weird, no??) Haiz... Now, doing house chores seems to be the only solution to this...Dude, it may sound lame but it's better than doing nothing.
Dude! Do you think being bored is fun!!?
On the plus side, I'm trying to spend more time on the piano and trying the guitar. Also, I starting to listen to one of my favourite J-pop band, which is (*drumrolls*) FLOW!!!! Gotta love their songs..especially Re;member..XD... However, I'm still bored, so go figure..
Also, on another note, I've passed my driving test..

Cross Country Run 2011 Duty

12/02/11- It was dark when I came to school. At first, my first thoughts were,' oh great, cross country run's canceled'. But, looking at my watch, I kinda realized no idiot would come to school at 6am in the morning...=.=...except for the  St. John members of my school ...When, I went inside, I was like....(Yeah , speechless), because there were like only a handful of members present....I feared it would be like last year as only around 11 members participated in the duty last year.=.=
However, my compliments goes to the EXCO's of St. Johns who managed to handle the situation well with only that handful of members. Being there to help, I assisted by taking care of the sick bay whereas Don and Alex went to the course used for the run. Other than a few cases and meeting lazy people who would waltz through the sick bay acting like bosses just to either get to the field or the toilet, everything went well. There were only a few minor cases and thankfully, there was nothing major. The event ended at around 10.30am.
Overall, this year's Michaellian Cross Country Run was a success. Congrats to the winners and well done to the EXCO's for managing the situation without causing a hitch. I hope that they will continue in their efforts for the sake of the board. Cheers!

Just a minor note: My driving Exam's on MONDAY!!! NOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!
